Gem Colors and Socketing
Just like in PoE, Skill Gems are color-coded to Path of Exile 2 Currency match different attributes: Red for Strength-based skills, Green for Dexterity, and Blue for Intelligence. This color-coding determines which items can socket the gem, as each piece of gear can only have specific colored sockets.
Multi-Socket and Multi-Link Items: Socketed items in PoE 2 will retain their ability to have multiple sockets, which allows you to link Skill Gems to support gems for additional effects. For example, you might link a Frostbolt gem (Blue) with a Cold Penetration support gem (Blue) to enhance the cold damage of the spell. However, with the introduction of multi-class builds, you can also combine different colored gems to create cross-class synergies.
Socket Affinities: A new feature in PoE 2 is Socket Affinities, which allow players to more easily create items with specific gem color requirements. Certain items will have affinities toward particular gem colors, making it easier to find gear that supports your preferred skill setups. This reduces the randomness of socket placement, providing more control over the build process.
Gem Crafting: In addition to the usual socketing mechanics, PoE 2 introduces a crafting system for gems, which allows players to add modifiers to their gems for enhanced effects. Using specific crafting materials, you can change the properties of a gem, making it more suited to your build and playstyle.
Support Gems and Link Systems

Hybrid Support Gems: New hybrid Support Gems will allow players to combine different gem types into a single gem, making it easier to create complex, synergistic builds. These gems combine attributes of both damage and defense or crowd control and utility, giving players more options when trying to Path of Exile 2 Currency for sale fit everything into their limited gem slots.
