Belial's presence in season 10 isn't just as a single boss fight. Instead, players will encounter him in three different forms, each increasing in Diablo 4 Gold difficulty and rewards:
- Apparition Boss
Appears randomly in the open world after players quickly defeat a lesser Apparition Boss.
Defeating this form doubles loot drops, making it a lucrative fight.
- Lair Boss (Torment Difficulty)
Found in his Lair on Torment difficulty, where he showcases more advanced abilities.
Drops the Crystal Decoy Boss Power, which can enhance specific builds.
- Exalted Lair Boss
The strongest version of Belial, appearing as an Exalted Lair Boss.
Grants the powerful Eye Beams Power upon defeat.
There is speculation that Belial may also appear as a story boss when season 10 fully launches, similar to past antagonists like Lilith, Mephisto, and Lord Zir. However, this remains unconfirmed until the official release in early May 2025.
Belial's Backstory: Who Is the Lord of Lies
Belial is one of the Lesser Evils of the Burning Hells, alongside Azmodan, Andariel, and Duriel. Though not as powerful as the Prime Evils (Diablo, Mephisto, and Baal), he is renowned for his deception and manipulation, earning his title as the Lord of Lies.
Belial's History in the Diablo Series
Pre-Diablo 3: Belial was just another demon lord until he and Azmodan led a rebellion against the Prime Evils, banishing them from Hell.
Diablo 3: He took control of Caldeum, posing as Emperor Hakan II before being exposed and defeated.
Post-Diablo 3: After his soul was trapped in a Soulstone, he remained dormant until his release, setting the stage for his return in Diablo 4.
With Lilith's downfall, Belial is seizing the opportunity to Buy Diablo 4 materials claim power, possibly working in the shadows while other demons like Andariel and Duriel allied with Lilith. His reappearance in season 10 suggests he's finally making his move.
