A demo class is your best chance to judge an institute before paying. Use it to assess the quality of ACCA classes and ACCA coaching with a clear checklist.
Teaching quality
- Clarity: does the trainer explain concepts simply?
- Depth: do they go beyond slides and examples?
- Pace: is it suitable for your level?
Content
- Syllabus alignment: does the material match the current ACCA syllabus ?
- Examples: are they relevant and exam-oriented?
- Practice: do they include questions during the class?
Interaction
- Doubt handling: are questions welcomed and answered well?
- Engagement: does the trainer involve students?
Support and structure
- Materials: are notes, question banks and recordings provided?
- Mocks: how are mock exams and feedback handled?
- Schedule: do timings suit you, and is there flexibility if you miss a class?
Value
- Transparency: are fees, inclusions and refund terms clear?
Questions to ask after the demo
- Who will actually teach my batch?
- How many students are in a batch?
- What results or student outcomes can you share?
- What happens if I need to switch batches?
Red flags
- The demo is a sales pitch with no teaching
- The trainer avoids questions
- Material seems outdated
- No clarity on fees or inclusions
Try more than one
Attend demos at two or three institutes and compare using the same checklist.
Judge fit, not just brand
A famous name does not guarantee the right style for you. Choose the one where you understand the concepts best.
Bring a question
Ask a real question from a topic you find hard. The answer will show how the trainer handles difficulty.
