GTA Online's Aug 27-Sep 3, 2026 update brings 6x Drift Race rewards, 2x Auto Shop payouts, vehicle discounts, showroom picks and a $100,000 weekly challenge.

Los Santos is in one of those weeks where smart spending matters. The August 27 to September 3, 2026 event gives players a short chance to turn race time and Auto Shop work into serious cash. If you are building a garage, GTA 5 Accounts can also help you get into the action with a stronger starting point, though the weekly offers themselves are worth checking first.

Vehicle shoppers have plenty to think about. The Invetero Coquette D5 drops to about $1.21 million, and its Missile Lock-On Jammer makes it a practical choice for busy public sessions. The Annis ZR350 falls to roughly $847,000 and suits players who want Drift Tuning without paying full price. The Vapid Flash GT costs around $1.17 million, while the Cheval Taipan is reduced to about $1.38 million. Aviation fans should look at the Western Company Duster 300-H for $535,500 and the Buckingham Howard NX-25 for $682,500, especially if safer travel across the map matters to them.

Where the Best Money Is This Week

The three-race weekly challenge is easy to fit into a normal play session and pays $100,000. Drift and Transform Races are the real attention grabbers, with some events offering six times the usual GTA$ and RP. Random Transform Races provide triple rewards. Auto Shop owners have another strong option, since Robbery Contracts pay double. The Union Depository Contract remains a favourite for a reason, but do not ignore the smaller jobs if you are playing alone or only have an hour.

Start with three Drift Races to secure the weekly cash reward.

Move to boosted Drift or Transform events while the higher payout is active.

Use the Auto Shop for double-paying Robbery Contracts between race queues.

Check the Gun Van before the Thursday reset, especially if you need discounted rifles.

Showrooms, Tests, and Prize Cars

Luxury Autos in Rockford Hills has the Pfister Astrale and Grotti Itali Classic on display. Simeon's showroom adds the Fathom FR36, Vapid Dominator FX, V-STR, and Vapid Dominator GTT. The returning Invetero Coquette costs about $173,000 and now accepts Drift Tuning, which makes it an interesting budget project. At the LS Car Meet, you can try the Cheval Taipan, Vapid Flash GT, and Coquette D5 before buying. On current-generation consoles, the Imponte Arbiter GT is the Premium Test Ride. Four straight days in the top five of the LS Car Meet Series unlocks the Dinka Veto Classic.

Last-Minute Checks Before Thursday

The Diamond Casino Lucky Wheel is offering the Karin Sultan Classic, normally priced near $1.71 million, along with its usual selection of prizes. GTA+ members get 40 percent off the Precision Rifle, while everyone can save 30 percent on the Military Rifle at the Gun Van. It is worth making one final shopping trip, then putting the boosted contracts and races to work. Players who want a faster route into future events may also choose to buy GTA V Accounts while comparing the week's savings and planning their next garage upgrade.
